The Film Commission staff is prepared to answer any questions that may arise even at the early stages of your project.

But more importantly, the Office of Film & Television Development is now equipped with the technology to set you up with a unique user account on our new, cutting-edge web site. Simply fill out a form describing your project and what locales you are most interested in and you will receive all photos and reference materials electronically via e-mail!

Scouting
Preliminary scouting has never been faster or easier. Contact us and we can provide you with quick, practical information about filming in Louisiana.

Once your production team is ready to take a look at Louisiana's locations first-hand, our office can help coordinate all aspects of your first scout, from accommodations to transportation. We will help plan your itinerary and will be available to accompany you throughout the duration of the scout, as our schedule permits. We can also assist in making introductions to contacts anywhere in the state where you may be interested in shooting or using as a location.

One great aspect about Louisiana is its rich diversity in terms of culture and landscape. Our varied landscapes include dynamic, contemporary cities and rural, rustic countryside. From our historic oak-lined plantations along the Mississippi River to our French and Spanish heritage, Louisiana boasts of magnificent architectural scenery that can double for nearly any location in the world.
